Album Description
This EP stand-up comedy album features the best of comedian Donovan Deschner’s material from the past five years of his professional career and marks his first foray into the world of comedy albums. Topics covered include his own egomania, a search for a religion, and other various “forehead words” which turn off people’s brains.
Donovan began performing stand-up comedy in 2005. It was only after two appearances on an amateur night show in a local comedy club that he was asked to start working as an MC. Within a few short months he had traveled across Western Canada making audiences of all kinds (bar crowds to corporate ballrooms) laugh. Now, he is one of the more in-demand performers in a variety of venues.
Constantly seeking new challenges, Donovan has ventured into several other projects. These include the production of a monthly comedy show, “Red Carpet Comedy,” where only professional comedians are allowed to perform only their new material and a one-man show about his ego called, “Egolution.” This album was another step and another new challenge which he couldn’t be more pleased with.
“I’ll Regret This” will eventually become a mild regret of its creator (all early work eventually falls into this category), but, for listeners, should provide a few great laughs and a look at where Donovan’s talent will start to grow from.
